NOTICE: The project is now full, no more entries can be accepted, however I am already planning a round two which will be much the same but with a twist. If your interested in joining in that then keep watching my journal as I shall be writing about it soon.
Also I apologise for my absence this weekend. I went to `blackice's portsmouth devmeet and have been without interwebs. I am working through all the dousens of notes and hundreds of comments I have received now, so if you have sent me something look out for a reply soon
I would also like to thank the pixel community for being so enthusiastic about this project, it has really given me more of a feeling of a community here as so many people have come together to create something amazing.
I have yet to see one of these as a community project on deviantart and yet there are enough talented pixel artists here to make such a project really awesome!
I have got together with `conorschild to bring this community project to the deviantart pixel community. You can see an example of what is possible here.
The rules are simple, the grid is numbered from one to sixty three (although 63 is only half a square). You can request to have as many squares as needed although any more than 3 or 4 will require proof of what you intend to do.
Also it's nice if each square merges into its neighbors, although this isn't entirely required...
If you are on an edge square such as one through to four, you may extend your creation downwards to claim the empty void space outside your square, example is shown with whats possible above.
If you would like to join in, simply note me with the vacant square numbers you would like to have and download the base. Then all you have to do is work your magic upload to da and then note me and conorschild with your deviation. Either I or conorschild will stitch it into the main thing which will be submitted to da for all to see!
I look forward to seeing this being completed, current attendees:

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
